Receipt export guide
Review receipt and bill data for Xero
Prepare consistent records before using your Xero organisation’s import workflow. ReceiptBulk provides a review and export layout; use Xero’s current template and fill any additional required fields before importing.
1. Compare the original and the record
Check contact names, invoice numbers, dates, tax and totals side by side. Keep each purchase in its original currency. Review duplicate warnings in the current tab, then decide whether any record should be removed.
2. Match the organisation’s account and tax settings
Enter the account code used by your organisation and verify tax mappings against the importer. A tax description printed on a receipt may differ from the code required by accounting software. ReceiptBulk does not choose your tax treatment.
3. Export and validate a small sample
Choose the Xero preparation layout and export only the rows you have checked. Compare the columns with the template from your Xero importer, complete missing required fields and review a small test import before adding a larger batch.
Before you import
- Check invoice date and due date independently in the target import template.
- Preserve account codes as text, including any leading zeros.
- ReceiptBulk does not synchronise records or detect purchases already stored in Xero.
Export option: Xero preparation layout.
Try the workflow with fictional receipts
Use the public sample to compare originals, edit fields, inspect a duplicate and export CSV or Excel. Manual entry in the workspace does not use AI; an active paid pass is required for AI extraction.
